PT: Cloud and Operations Engineer

For our office in Maia, Portugal, we are seeking a talented and motivated cloud and operations engineer to join our dynamic support and operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing management of cloud environments. Additionally, you will provide technical support to clients, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance.
AET Europe uses cutting edge technology to create solutions for secure authentication, authorization and information exchange. Our solutions are used to provide digital trust for the government, healthcare sector and private companies all over the world. Currently AET Europe is expanding into new markets and therefore we are looking for new eager and enthusiastic team members.
Your role within our team
As a cloud and operations engineer at AET Europe, your key responsibilities will include:
- Deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (Azure) solutions based on client and project requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project objectives and deliver optimal solutions.
- Provide technical support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor cloud environments, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of client data.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing

Your profile
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT.
- Experience in managing cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana and Kibana.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator) are a plus.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes are a plus.
- Experience in deploying microservices using Kustomize is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal.

- Strong security awareness.
